Goodman Theatre Announces its 4th Latino Theatre Festival

          Goodman Theatre proudly announces initial plans for its 4th biennial Latino Theatre Festival, curated by Resident Artistic Associate Henry Godinez.  Running August 8 – 24, 2008, the Festival includes Culture Clash’s Culture Clash in AmeriCCa; Barcelona-based Marta Carrasco’s J’arrive, a compilation of her works over the past ten years; Al Son Que Me Toques, Lorca, Laura Crotte’s Mexican-musical adaptation of Federico Garcia Lorca’s Blood Wedding ;Taking Flight by Adriana Sevan; and De La Oreja Al Corazon, an imaginative puppet piece from Mexico City.  Chicago companies participating in the festival include Albany Park Theater Project, Teatro Luna, Teatro Vista and Aguijón Theater Company; programs and dates to be announced, as well as the new play readings, community events and panel discussions that augment the Festival.A preliminary schedule for Goodman Theatre’s 2008 Latino Theatre Fest follows. Tickets go on sale May 29.

El Teatro Goodman Anuncia su 4º Festival de Teatro Latino

       El Teatro Goodman se enorgullece en anunciar los planes iniciales para su 4º Festival Bienial de Teatro Latino, custodiado por el Residente Artístico Asociado, Henry Godínez. Abierto del 8 al 24 de agosto, el Festival incluye Culture Clash in AmeriCCA de Culture Clash; J’arrive, de Marta Carrasco, con base en Barcelona, una compilación de sus obras en los últimos diez años. Al Son Que Me Toques, Lorca, la adaptación musical mexicana de Laura Crote de Bodas de Sangre de Federico García Lorca; Flight de Adriana Sevan y De La Oreja Al Corazón, una imaginativa presentación de marionetas de la Ciudad de México. Luna, Teatro Vista y Aguijón Theatre Company; programas y fechas por anunciarse, así como la lectura de nuevas obras, eventos comunitarios y un panel de debate que aumenta el Festival.
