State Representative Silvana Tabares, D-Chicago, is helping local families prepare for emergencies by partnering with the Chicago City Clerk’s office for a KIDS and Medical ID Program on Friday, Nov. 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Little Village Community Council, 3610 W. 26th Street, in Little Village. “With growing concern over public safety, I want to make sure families in my district are prepared for serious emergencies,” Tabares said. “The KIDS ID program will provide free child identification cards to both the child and parents, and will ensure that vital information for children is accessible to local authorities in emergency situations.” Tabares will welcome staff from the City Clerk’s office to help residents enroll their children in the KIDS ID program by completing the child identification form, taking the child’s digital fingerprint and picture to create the ID card. This event is free and open to Chicago residents. Information provided to the City Clerk will be stored securely in their office. For more information about this event or state-related issues, please contact Tabares’ constituent office at 773-522-1315 or email rep.tabares@gmail.com.
