Committed to their plan to invest $35-$50 million to rebuild neighborhoods across the city, Walmart has reopened two of their locations, Lakeview (2844 N. Broadway) and Little Village (2551 W. Cermak Rd.). Walmart intends to open all Chicago stores in an effort to retain 1,600 jobs. Walmart hopes to reopen the other two Chicago Walmart Neighborhood Market locations and the Hermosa Walmart Supercenter by the end of July and then reopen the Chatham and Austin Walmart Supercenters by the end of 2020.
