Ham is such a treat at Easter – but what to do with the leftovers? Try this family friendly dish that comes together in minutes – and makes great use of ham as well as adding in peas, another springtime favorite! This dish is also a delicious way to make vegetables part of the main attraction. Kids love macaroni and cheese, and by adding in the ham and those veggies, that classic favorite becomes a meal that offers every food group except fruit! So, serve a fresh fruit cup alongside this one dish wonder – or as a sweet treat for dessert – and you have all five food groups represented.

Creamy Ham & Peas Pasta

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:
1 (6 ounce) package wild harvest™ Organic White Cheddar Mac & Cheese
1 tablespoon wild harvest™ Organic Butter
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1/4 cup chopped onions
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup diced ham
1/4 cup wild harvest™ Organic Frozen Peas

Directions:
1. Prepare macaroni and cheese according to package directions.
2. Meanwhile, in medium sauté pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add mushrooms, onions and pepper. Sauté until mushrooms are soft and liquid is absorbed.
3. Add in ham and peas; continue sautéing until heated through.
4. Add ham and mushroom mixture to completed macaroni and cheese.
