‘Children of Color’ Film Celebrates National Children’s Day

On National Children’s Day, Sunday, June 12, Children of Color, an award winning and inaugural short film produced by A Beautiful Film Production, LLC hosted a special red carpet screening for the children featured in the film. The screening took place at Facets Cinematheque, 1517 W. Fullerton Ave. The short-film, Children of Color is told through the eyes of Sol, a self -proclaimed child “full of color,” who ponders the question, “Are there any other kids like me on the planet?” She goes on an international journey discovering how special and full of color other children really are. Director of Children of Color and mother of Sol, Blanca Palomo said the love for her daughter inspired her filmmaking. “I wanted to create a film that would contribute to my daughter’s inner growth, and empower her and children like her.” The Children of Color film has been recognized and celebrated at several film festivals.
