The City of Berwyn Dollars for Scholars Committee has named four Berwyn students recipients for this year’s awards. Tricia Leja, a Nazareth Academy graduate, who will attend Morton Community College, Cicero. Tyna Nguyen, a Morton West graduate, who will be attending Concordia University, River Forest. Oscar Tapia, a Morton West graduate, who will be attending the University of Illinois at Chicago. Maricela Leon, a Morton West graduate, who will be attending the University of Illinois at Chicago. All students will be recognized at the August 9, 2011 Berwyn City Council meeting and will receive $500 scholarships that will be directly applied to their tuition.
