Be Pink

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Orbitz teamed up with Bright Pink to offer poignant tips on how women can take the lead in health and encourage other women to follow suit.

Breast cancer prevention tips:

  • Talk to immediate family members – on your mother and father’s sides – to have a clear understanding of your family’s breast cancer history.
Tip: Bring this information to your doctor so you can create a strategy to manage your health in a proactive way.
  • Find a “Bosom Buddy” you trust and remind one another to check-in with your chests on a regular basis.
Tip: Text ‘PINK’ to 59227 to sign up for Bright Pink’s Underwire Alerts and learn how you can be breast self-aware.
  • Maintain a healthy body.
Tip: Limit fat intake and exercise for 30 minutes or more on most days to help reduce your risk of developing breast cancer.
