Saint Anthony Hospital Hosts Tree-Trimming Event for School Children

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - HealthTo celebrate its partnerships within the community, Saint Anthony Hospital hosted a holiday tree-trimming for five local schools on Friday, Dec. 2 at the hospital’s location at 2875 W. 19th St. Saint Anthony Hospital hosted students from Nathaniel Pope Elementary, Penn Elementary, Hammond Elementary, Catalyst, and Carol Robertson Center for Learning. The hospital provided each of these schools with art supplies in order for students to create their own special ornaments. At the event, the students brought their handmade trimmings and spent time decorating live trees, which are out on display outside the main entrance. “Saint Anthony Hospital truly believes in serving our community in ways that go beyond traditional healthcare, and our partnerships with local schools are very important,” said Guy Medaglia, president and CEO, Saint Anthony Hospital. “Engaging students in the tree-trimming provides them the opportunity to come together and celebrate the holiday season.”
