National Latino Education Institute (NLEI) is opening doors to exciting learning opportunities during October. The Medical Office Specialist program begins on October 20th; Learn medical terminology, medical ethics and administrative skills. This 40-week program includes an externship at a local hospital or medical center. Financial aid is available for those who qualify.

The EKG Technician course is the latest addition to the Institute’s catalog, and it begins October 20th. Electro-cardiogram (EKG) technicians monitor and test a patient’s cardiovascular performance using EKG equipment such as Holter Monitors. EKG technicians are typically employed in medical office settings. Eligible students can earn certification as an EKG Technician from the National Center for Competency Testing. Classes are available in both mornings and evenings.

The Insurance and Coding Specialist program is also being offered for the first time at NLEI starting October 27th. Medical insurance and billing specialists enjoy a variety of employment opportunities with different parties involved in medical billing. Many of these specialists find positions in medical facilities such as clinics or hospitals, in private practices or other health-related facilities. Insurance companies and outsourcing companies hire many medical billing specialists as well.

Learn Business Basics in new mini-workshops. The workshops include everything from faster typing to marketing and accounting. Sessions and start times are ideal for the busy business novice.
