Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - Health

Did you know more than an estimated 1.5 million Americans and 5 million people worldwide suffer from a disease that, on average, takes six years to be correctly diagnosed? The Lupus Foundation of America (LFA) is currently making strides to launch operations in the Chicagoland area. May is Lupus Awareness Month, and on May 31st, LFA will be hosting the inaugural Walk to End Lupus Now Chicago event at Montrose Harbor. The LFA is committed to developing a community within the Chicago area for the countless lupus patients and their families and caregivers – it is LFA’s strategic plan to open a regional office in Chicago with expanded local programs and services. If you would like to learn more about the LFA, visit www.lupus.org.
