NLEI is proud to launch The NLEI ENERGIA Project. ENERGIA means energy in Spanish, a new project made possible through the Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA). ENERGIA aims to build the skills and talent needed to support the innovative energy sector. The ENERGIA project is a short 5-month program which includes classroom instruction with employers and energy experts, student support, safety and OSHA education. Additionally, the program provides field experience in the technical, business and customer engagement paths. Job placement is available upon successful completion of project. “We are excited to be able to help transform the lives of Latinos in our communities by empowering individuals through education. The ENERGIA project isn’t simply about gaining technical skills, it’s about gaining the confidence and knowledge to transform lives and protect our environment through a workforce that’s energized and enthusiastic about the possibilities that clean energy offers,” said Elba Aranda-Suh, NLEI Executive Director. Classes start soon, so apply today by calling 773-247-0707 ext. 264, ext. 200 or ext. 235 or email us at nlei@nlei.org.
