

The Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center (SRBCC) kicks-off its year-long 50th anniversary celebration with its annual commemoration of the abolition of slavery in Puerto Rico with two days of virtual events, March 22 and 23, exploring Puerto Rico’s African roots through their rich spiritual, musical and artistic journeys and featuring such Afro-Boricua arts and culture leaders as actress and community organizer Melissa DuPrey, Lucumí priest and cultural promoter Quincy Raggs, writer and educator Xavi Luis Burgos and chef and Urban Pilón co-founder Roberto Pérez.
