Chicago Public Library (CPL) is leveling up with the return of Gamer’s Universe, the city’s teen-led gaming convention. Now in its fourth year, this all-ages celebration of gaming culture will take over Harold Washington Library Center on Saturday, June 14 from 11 am to 4 pm. Organized in partnership with the Chicago Teen Gamer’s Guild (CTGG), a group of high school aged interns at CPL, Gamer’s Universe features a packed day of programming for players and fans of every level. CTGG is part of CPL’s broader effort to empower teens through creative expression and career exploration. The internship allows participants to lead every aspect of planning the convention from budgeting and design to vendor outreach and event production. This event is free and open to the public, made possible by the generous support of donors to the Chicago Public Library Foundation.
