A flavorful new business has officially joined the Cicero community. President Larry Dominick, Town officials and residents gathered Thursday morning to celebrate the grand opening of Dripping Sticks, a vibrant dessert shop offering customizable sweet treats, authentic Mexican chocolate, and a full drink and pastry menu. Located at 5001 W. Cermak Road, Dripping Sticks is already making waves with its bold flavors and family-centered mission. “I love to see new businesses coming to town,” said President Dominick. “New people, different places for people to shop. That’s what we work toward—helping everyone find a place to enjoy and support locally.” Dripping Sticks was founded by brothers Juan and Samuel Rivas, longtime Cicero residents with a passion for creating a place where customers can build their own dessert combinations from a wide variety of ingredients. “It started with the idea that I could never find exactly what I wanted,” said Juan. “A churro with Nutella and Oreo? That didn’t exist. So we made it exist.” Offering yogurt, ice cream, croissants, waffles, pancakes, coffee, matcha, and more than 40 different drink options, Dripping Sticks was built with everyone in mind—from kids to adults. Their desserts also include uniquely shaped waffles and options inspired by authentic Mexican flavors.
