Chicago Public Library, Department of Environment, and Department of Fleet & Facility Management held a press conference to announce the installation of rooftop solar panels and completion of energy retrofits at the South Chicago and Humboldt Park Branch locations. These efforts help further Chi100, a broader effort to equitably expand renewable energy solutions citywide, with the goal of ensuring all electricity consumed in Chicago is sourced from clean, renewable sources by 2035. The press conference took place on Monday, July 21st at the Chicago Public Library, South Chicago Branch.
