Anthony Driver Jr., to Step Down as President of CCPSA

Commissioner Anthony Driver Jr. announced that he will step down as President of the Community Commission for Public Safety and Accountability (CCPSA). Commissioner Driver notified the Commission of his intention to step down from his role as President at the CCPSA’s monthly meeting on August 28, 2025. Commissioner Driver will remain a member of the Commission and continue to carry out his duties as a Commissioner. Driver was initially elected by CCPSA Commissioners to serve as President in September 2022, following the establishment of the interim Commission under the CCPSA ordinance, and was subsequently elected President by the permanent Commission when its members took office in June 2024. Per ordinance, the Commission is required to select a President and Vice President from among its members. When a vacancy occurs, an election is held during a regularly scheduled Commission meeting.
