Chicagoans aren’t the only ones loving the cooler temperatures. The Bornean orangutans at Brookfield Zoo Chicago are getting a taste of autumn adventures in their new habitat at Bramsen Tropical Forests. Guests have recently been delighted as four of these critically endangered apes climb high up in the trees, show off their strength on bamboo-inspired poles and lounge low among greenery. Brookfield Zoo Chicago is a must-visit staycation destination. The Zoo is open from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Monday (9/1), before adopting its fall hours. Guests can enjoy sweeping views of the Chicago skyline from the Ferris Wheel through September 7th, feed a giraffe and take photos with nature’s most colorful creatures at Butterflies! Make it a day at Brookfield Zoo Chicago, with more information available at brookfieldzoo.org/visit.
