This fall, City Colleges and UIC’s Center for Literacy will be offering GED/HiSET and ESL (English as a Second Language/English Language Learning) classes at some libraries. These classes are free and open to Illinois residents ages 18 and over. Students who are 16 and 17 can take classes if they show a high school separation form. Archer Heights Library will also be holding registration and placement test events for their ESL classes offered through Daley College. Registration will occur on Saturday, September 27th from 9:30am-12pm. You can also apply online (select “Daley College” as your location). If you apply online, please fill out this interest form for the Archer Heights location. You may also register and take placement tests at Daley College. There are some virtual options for placement testing. You can head to the Archer Heights library on Wednesday, October 1st from 5-7pm to get help with the online placement test.
