Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - Health

September is National Suicide Prevention Month. It is a time to raise awareness on a serious mental health issue that affects many, while providing access to available resources and, most importantly, hope. Throughout the month, CDPH is hosting a series of events dedicated to awareness, education and prevention, including:

9/11 – QPR Training at Mount Greenwood Library (4:30-6 p.m.)

9/18 – Virtual QPR Training (1-2:30 p.m.)

9/27 – American Foundation for Suicide Prevention – Out of the Darkness Chicagoland Walk

Information on these events and additional resources can be found on the CDPH website. Call or text 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline or call 911 if you or someone you know is in crisis.
