Chicago Public Library (CPL) announces The Reading Set, a first-of-its-kind book borrowing platform that makes it simple for readers across the city to reserve complete sets of titles for their book clubs. The service, powered by CPL, features more than 300 titles across multiple genres and languages. After logging in with a library card, patrons can select their preferred dates and pick up their Reading Set at any Library location. Participation in CPL book clubs has grown steadily over the last decade, reflecting a growing citywide interest in spaces where adults can engage with literature, exchange perspectives and build community. The Reading Set collection features literary classics, contemporary novels and nonfiction works that spark conversation and reflect the diverse experiences of people and communities. Chicagoans can access The Reading Set at chipublib.org/thereadingset. To find a CPL book club, visit chi.gov/bookclubs.
