Sones de México Music School classes are designed for kids and adults alike. Learn a new skill this spring while getting in touch with the music’s Mexican roots. Classes are taught in Spanish because Sones de México believes that teaching Mexican music classes en español helps connect students, especially 2nd and 3rd generation Mexican-Americans, to their family and cultural heritage. That is why Sones de México also places the music in the context of Mexico’s traditions and ground them in Mexican history, geography, and culture. When siblings and parents take classes together, family ties are strengthened. Sones de México’s classes are designed for kids ages 9 and up. Weekly Saturday classes begin March 7 in Chicago’s Rogers Park and Pilsen neighborhoods. For added convenience, Sones de México also offer online Sunday classes. Sones de México currently has an Early Bird discount of $18 off of tuition. Additionally, when two or more family members enroll together, each receives an additional $20 off.
