Chicago Public Schools (CPS) and Chicago Public Library (CPL) celebrated the expansion of The 81 Club at CPL’s Austin Branch on Tuesday. The groundbreaking collaboration provides more than 315,000 CPS students with automatic access to library resources across the city. The milestone strengthens the connection between schools and libraries, supports classroom learning and expands opportunities for youth across CPL’s 81 neighborhood locations. Through The 81 Club, students can engage in out-of-school learning with access to books, digital resources, homework support, cultural programming and safe community spaces.
