Santa Teresa de Avila Episcopal Church to Serve as Vaccine Site

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - Health

On Sunday, Aug. 29th, Santa Teresa de Avila Episcopal Church is serving as a vaccine site from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm at 6201 S. St. Louis Avenue with a follow- up date of September 19 for the second vaccination. Both the Johnson & Johnson (single dose) and Pfizer (two doses, available for youth aged 12 or older as well as for adults) will be available on both August 29 and September 19. This is an opportunity for children to be vaccinated before the start of the school year. This is the congregation’s way of expressing its gratitude to the medical professionals, essential workers and first responders who worked tirelessly, risking their own health, to provide our communities with the services we needed to survive the pandemic. The faith community of Santa Teresa de Avila is also expressing its gratitude during its 10:30 am bilingual service and its 12:30 pm Spanish service. If you would like to acknowledge friends and family members who have served the community during the pandemic, please email the Rev. Sandra Castillo their names, occupations, and photos to sca652@yahoo.com. Free bottled water will be available. There will be free door prizes for the newly vaccinated children and adults (winners need not be present). The use of face masks and social distancing will be required.
