Vaccinations Still Encouraged, Despite Low Flu, COVID-19 and RSV Activity

In spite of low COVID-19, flu and RSV activity in suburban Cook County, Cook County Department of Public Health is still urging residents to get vaccinated. COVID-19, flu and RSV activity is low for the week ending Jan. 31. Flu activity is trending downward, and RSV activity recently decreased from moderate to low, according to Cook County’s latest respiratory surveillance data. However, it’s not unusual to see another wave of flu in the spring. Cook County Department of Public Health, in conjunction with Cook County Health and CountyCare, continues to offer free flu and COVID-19 shots at its Saturday vaccination clinics. The clinics will run through March 28. Here is where vaccinations will be offered in February from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.:
