Alderman George Cardenas’ Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Alderman George Cardenas brought the Easter festivities to the children of the 12th Ward with the Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 16. The Easter hunt was held at the Chicago Indoor Soccer facility, 3900 S. Ashland, with over 500 families attending the event. Children enjoyed goody bags, took pictures with the Easter Bunny, jumped in the jumping jack, competed in various games, and received a lunch. However, the most anticipated activity of the event was the search for eggs on the field which began with the first age group the three and four year olds. The children were able to collect from over 3,000 Easter Eggs. The event was proudly sponsored by Pete’s Market, Food for Less, Walgreen’s, El Guero, Golden Dragon, Vitner’s Chips, Hinda Incentives, and Fatty’s Hot Dogs. For more information or any questions on this or any upcoming event please feel free to give the 12th Ward Public Service Office a call or visit us at 2458 W 38th Street.
