18th Annual Chicago Cares Serve-a-Thon

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - Local News Join more than 6,000 volunteers at the 18th annual Chicago Cares Serve-a-thon, Chicago’s largest day of service to revitalize learning environments for over 30,000 Chicago Public Schools students. Serve-a-thon volunteers will make over Chicago Public Schools by adding fresh coats of paint to classrooms, organizing libraries to provide environments conducive to learning, and transforming indoor and outdoor spaces with bright murals and colorful mosaics, to name a few. Volunteers make a $30 registration donation and are encouraged to set ambitious fundraising goals. All funds raised during Serve-a-thon support more than 215 Chicago Cares monthly community programs.
