‘Level-UP’ Pilot Program Now Open to General Public

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - EducationThe City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) will offer “LEVEL UP,” a free quick start summer program designed to ensure first- year college bound students are prepared to take on the challenge and rigor of college level work. The “LEVEL UP” pilot program begins June 27th and targets 200 first-year students who plan to attend Olive-Harvey, Daley or Kennedy-King College, but place into the developmental education pathway based on the CCC Compass placement exam. The “LEVEL-UP” program is designed to improve placement scores by sharpening reading, writing and math skills so students can begin college-level work in their first semester. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend the “LEVEL-UP” orientation program that will be held 6:30pm-8:00pm Thursday, June 1, 2011 at Daley College, 7800 South Pulaski Rd. Applications will be accepted during the orientation session.
