CEDA Offers Financial Assistance to Local Residents

CEDA wants to provide financial relief to local residents from low-income backgrounds who want attain a post-secondary education or occupational training. Income-eligible residents of suburban Cook County who are currently enrolled in or planning to attend an accredited college, university or occupational training program in Illinois can receive up to $1,000 in scholarship money through the CEDA CSBG Scholarship Program. Money is available until funds are exhausted. Applicants must meet established income guidelines based upon three months of 2011 income and must reside within CEDA’s suburban Cook County service area. Additional documentation is required. The CEDA CSBG Scholarship Program application deadline is Friday, June 17, 2011.
