Back of the Yards Neighborhood Council (BYNC) announced the highly anticipated return of their three-day Fiesta event on June 10-12, 2011. This free cultural event highlights the neighborhood’s diversity and features live music, dance and cultural performances, and over 100 vendors selling merchandise and food and beverage. The Fiesta takes place annually on 47th street between Ashland and Damen Avenues and runs from 5pm to 10pm on Friday, June 10th, 10am to 10pm on Saturday, June 11th, and 12:00pm to 10pm on Sunday, June 12th.

The Fiesta this year include an inflatable soccer field sponsored by McDonald’s, South Paw from Chicago White Sox and Ronald McDonald will be present at the cultural stage and carnival rides featuring over 20 rides for children, teens, and adults (tickets per ride will range from $1 to $3). In addition, Mega Pass is available at ticket booths for $45 per person or $40 prior the event at the BYNC office located at 1751 W. 47th Street. The Mega Pass is valid for all three day and is unlimited access to all the carnival rides. The carnival was a new addition added to the 2008 Fiesta and is expected to once again provide an added level of enjoyment for all ages with the Mega Pass. For more information, visit www.bync.org.
