White Sox Announces ‘Orgullo Sox Night’

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - Local NewsThe Chicago White Sox will hold the fourth annual “Orgullo Sox Night” on Thursday, July 7 to celebrate Chicago’s proud Hispanic heritage. The family-friendly evening will feature celebrity appearances along with a free, star studded concert, presented by Comcast. Pregame activities are set to start at 5 p.m. outside of Gate 5 of U.S. Cellular Field. The concert lineup includes Grammy nominated Dareyes de la Sierra and Sones de Mexico as well as Suena Latin Jazz and Mariachi Zapopan, with celebrity emcees introducing each group. Omar Ramos, Univision Radio’s La Kalle 106.7 FM anchor and White Sox Spanish broadcaster on La Tremenda WRTO 1200 AM, will serve as an emcee alongside Chicagoan Nicole Suarez, Nuestra Belleza Latina 2011 contestant and third-place winner. Free Orgullo Sox t-shirts will go to the first 800 fans who mention the password ‘Orgullo.’ Tickets are available for this game and can be purchased in advance for half-off at the U.S. Cellular ticket office and on www.orgullosox.com/orgullo.
