State Representative Lisa Hernandez (D-Cicero) and Congressman Luis Gutierrez on Saturday, Aug. 13 sponsored a Constituent Service Day at Morton College in Cicero. The Constituent Service Day provided local residents with an opportunity to learn about the different services available through their federal, state and local elected officials in the area. Representatives from the Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP), Central Management Services (CMS), Illinois Department of Human Services, Illinois welcoming Center and the Illinois Student Association Commission (ISAC) among many others were also available to provide information and the resources they offered. “The Constituent Service Day is an opportunity for local residents to learn about the numerous services available to them through all levels of government,” Hernandez said. “One of my primary concerns as state representative is making sure constituents are well informed.
