City Clerk’s Office Now Accepting Entries for Vehicle Sticker Contest

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - EducationChicago’s City Clerk Susana Mendoza’s office is now accepting entries from Chicago high school students for the 2012-2013 City Vehicle Sticker Art Contest. The winning student’s artwork will be seen on nearly 1.3 million vehicles next year, in addition to the student receiving a savings bond. The 2012-2013 vehicle sticker theme is “Chicago’s Heroes.” The sticker artwork should reflect the sacrifices police officers, firefighters and first responders make every day and the bravery they display on the job.

All Chicago high school students in grade 9 through 12 are invited to submit artwork highlighting the sticker theme, “Chicago’s Heroes.” All entries must be submitted to room 107 in City Hall by 5pm on Friday, Oct. 28. The theme title, “Chicago’s Heroes,” must be incorporated into the sticker design. All official rules can be found at www.chicityclerk.com.
