Students at Columbia Explorers Academy launched thousands of balloons to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the school. Alderman Edward M. Burke (14th) and Principal Jose Barrera presided over the ceremony attended by a large crowd of students and parents as well as locally elected officials, including State Representatives Daniel J. Burke and Dena Carli as well as Cook County Commissioner Jesus Garcia.
