Chicago Artists Month, October 1-31, 2011 is the 16th annual celebration of Chicago’s talented and diverse visual arts community, featuring more than 200 events ranging from exhibitions to open studio tours and neighborhood art walks presented by museums, galleries, cultural centers and arts organizations in more than 45 neighborhoods throughout the city. The theme for the month is “Artful Networks,” which explores the communities that nurture and inspire Chicago artists and their work.
