Miller Lite Brand Manager Alberto Senior and Ramon Ramirez, former Chivas de Guadalajara player, were at the Odeum Sports Complex in Villa Park to make donations totaling in $5,000 to two of the largest soccer leagues in Chicago. Mr. Jose Luis Larios from the Hispano Soccer League and Mr. Jose Gutierrez from the Interamericana Soccer League were on hand to represent the respective clubs and accept the donation. A separate donation was made to commission a mural by local artist Ric Gonzalez. Miller Lite is the official sponsor of the Chivas of Guadalajara soccer club.
