Berrios Takes North Center for the Handicapped Students to Brookfield Zoo

Maria Antonia “Toni” Berrios (D-Chicago) took students from the North Center for the Handicapped on a field trip to the Brookfield Zoo Friday, October 7. “Our annual Brookfield Zoo field trip is a wonderful way to provide students with developmental disabilities the opportunity to increase their social development skills, learn and have fun,” Berrios said. “All of the students look forward to this trip and it is truly a rewarding experience to see their faces full of excitement.” The North Center for the Handicapped assists individuals in developing their full potential regardless of the type or degree of their disability while enabling individuals who are disabled to maximize their physical, intellectual, and social skills.
