McDonald’s Owner Operators Joins American Diabetes Association for Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - Local NewsHundreds of walkers laced up their shoes and gathered at Soldier Field on Saturday, Oct. 22, to participate in the American Diabetes Association (ADA) fundraiser, Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes. The McDonald’s Operators of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana (MOCNI) had a tent at the Walk where they shared information about McDonald’s various menu options.

“The number of children and adults suffering with diabetes is alarming,” said Ron Lofton, McDonald’s Owner/Operator and President of MOCNI. “Exercise and choosing balanced food options are ways that we can take more control in preventing and managing diabetes.
