In honor of November’s Diabetes Awareness Month, Gads Hill Center, 1919 W. Cullerton St., will host an event Thursday, Nov. 3 from 5pm to 7pm, for residents who are interested in learning more about disease. Alongside Gads Hill Center will be Que Rica Vida’s Executive Chef Adriana Amione and Dr. Aliza Lifshitz, M.D., health expert on Univision and director of VidaySalud.com, to answer questions and offer ways to live a healthier lifestyle. The event will include healthy recipes prepared by Chef Adriana and free health screenings.
