Volaris Increases Service from Chicago Midway to Mexico

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - BusinessThe Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) welcomed new, added service between Mexico City and Chicago Midway International Airport from Mexico-based, low-cost carrier Volaris Airlines. Volaris will also add two additional destinations in Mexico, including Zacatecas and Morelia, starting November 10 and 11 respectively.

“On behalf of Mayor Rahm Emanuel, we are pleased to welcome new services by Volaris between Chicago and three of Mexico’s major financial, cultural and educational centers — Mexico City, Morelia, and Zacatecas,” said Commissioner Rosemarie S. Andolino. Volaris Airlines will offer service four times a week between Chicago and Mexico City on an Airbus 319 aircraft with seating for 144 passengers. Starting November 10, the airline will add twice-weekly flights to Zacatecas; and on November 11, twice-weekly flights to Morelia.
