Cook County Sheriffs Youth Services Medal of Honor

On November 7, 2011, at the UIC Forum four Berwyn students, Monica Aleman, Morgan Borkovec, Martin Cardona, and Jorge Muro were presented with the Sheriffs Youth Service Medal of Honor. This award was given to Cook County High School students who volunteered over 100 or more hours of community service to their community.

Approximately, 330 Medal of Honor students were recognized and the City of Berwyn is proud of the efforts of our High School students. The students volunteered their time to hospitals, churches, schools, senior citizen centers and community organizations. I was proud to have been in attendance when the awards were presented by Cook County Sheriff Thomas Dart to our local students.
