Norwegian Hospital Selects Member to Board of Trustees

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - BusinessJosé R. Sánchez, president and CEO of Norwegian American Hospital, has been elected to the Illinois Hospital Association’s Board of Trustees. Sanchez will begin serving a three-year term on the IHA Board on Jan. 1, 2012. In October 2010, Norwegian American Hospital appointed José R. Sánchez as its President and CEO. Sánchez came to the hospital’s executive team with a 30-plus year career as a health care executive and a wealth of knowledge of the health care industry. “I am delighted to have been elected to the board of the Illinois Hospital Association,” said President and CEO José R. Sánchez. “It is an honor to work on the board with my colleagues for the betterment of the health care system in the state of Illinois.” Sánchez has been a licensed social worker since 1979. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the City College of New York and a Master of Social Work from Adelphi University.
