The roosevelt road business association of Berwyn, Cicero and Oak Park is announcing the significant completion of the Roosevelt Road Redevelopment Project and celebrating it with the inaugural Roosevelt Road Holiday Stroll to take place on Sunday, December 11 from 2-5pm.

The rrba and the many businesses that call Roosevelt Road home are proud of their new look and want to show it off! The shiny new Roosevelt Road streetscape will be decked out with holiday decorations while the glorious aromas of roasting chestnuts and mulled wine will be wafting through the dynamic shopping and entertainment district. Participating businesses along the corridor will have their doors open, welcoming attendees to sample their wares and share some holiday cheer. Attendees will receive a map of the stroll and will be required to have the map stamped at each stop along the Stroll. Once all stops have been completed, the maps will be used for a drawing that offers a bevy of wonderful gifts donated by Roosevelt Road businesses.

In the early stages of planning, stops on the Stroll include Turano Bake Shop, Autre Monde Café, Culver’s, Dan’s Bike Shop, FitzGerald’s Sidebar, The Friendly Tap, Oak Park Dental Studio, The 12th Street Rag, and Citizens Community Bank among others. Drawing prizes include 2 quarts of Gina’s Italian Ice, baked goods from Turano Bakery, gift certificates to Culver’s & The Friendly Tap, concert tickets from FitzGerald’s, a gift basket courtesy of the Oak Park Dental Studio and a brand new bike from Dan’s Bike Shop, along with many more. The event suggests a donation of $5 or a new toy to benefit Toys for Tots. It will be a celebration not to be missed.
