Free Educational Teleconference on Childhood Lupus

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - HealthThe Lupus Foundation of America, Illinois Chapter announced a free educational teleconference on childhood lupus, presented by Linda Wagner-Weiner, MD, Pediatric Rheumatologist and LFAI Medical Advisory Board Member. The educational teleconference will be held on Thursday, Jan. 12 at 6:30p.m. Dr. Linda Wagner-Weiner will provide insights into childhood lupus and answer questions. Lupus is a chronic (lifelong) autoimmune disease that causes inflammation and tissue damage to virtually every organ system in the body. Currently, 65,000 Illinois residents are estimated to live with lupus, an unpredictable and potentially fatal autoimmune disease for which there presently is no satisfactory treatment or cure.
