Sandra Piña Wins Scholarship from St. Augustine College

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - EducationFor Sandra Piña, a senior student at Bogan High School, it was a great surprise when she won an $ 8.750 U.S. dollars scholarship from St. Augustine College. Sandra, the eldest of four siblings, who already enrolled in this university, is considering studies in Social Work or Respiratory Therapy.

“I’m very happy, I never thought I would win this scholarship,” said Sandra. “I’d like to encourage young people like me to not to give up and continue searching for pportunities like this scholarship which will make my dream of continuing my studies possible,” she added.

“Congratulations to Sandra. I wish her success as a student at St. Augustine and in her future career. I also invite anyone interested in pursuing a college degree or work certificate to learn about the programs and opportunities that our college has to offer,” declared Andrew C. Sund, President of St. Augustine College.

St. Augustine will continue its promotion to offer residents of the Chicagoland area, including Northwest Indiana, an opportunity to win an $8,750 scholarship.
