On Wednesday, March 7, Cicero has a special program to hire individuals with disabilities to specific jobs in the Town. Cicero has more than a dozen employees who are disabled. Developmentally Disability Awareness Month is a National celebrated event to recognize efforts to help people that are disabled to shine and to help the public become more educated about the challenges facing disabled people. The event, which will be held at the Cicero Community Center, 2250 S. 49th Ave., is intended to showcase the importance of the Town of Cicero’s Disability Hiring Program.
