Casa Central Supports National Child Abuse Prevention Month

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - HealthApril is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and Casa Central has joined thousands of communities throughout the United States to put children first. On Thursday, April 26th at 11 a.m., Casa Central will hold a colorful ceremony to close National Child Abuse Prevention Month. The ceremony will be held at the agency’s main building at 1343 North California Ave. Under this year’s theme, “Every Child Matters: Get Involved!” the Intact Family Program prepared a series of messages to mobilize the community and to raise awareness to promote the prevention of child abuse. “The safety of the children in our community is a shared responsibility,” said Ann Alvarez, president and CEO of Casa Central. “We hope that this effort will make a dramatic statement within the community regarding Casa Central’s commitment to putting our children first.”
