Comcast Volunteers Help UNO During Comcast Cares Day

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - EducationComcast marks more than two decades of Comcast Cares Day where thousands of local Comcast employees, families and friends volunteer to improve neighborhoods across the country. It is the 11th Annual Comcast Cares Day and is one of the largest single-days of volunteer service in corporate America. This year, the national day of community service was held at Chicago’s Bartolome de las Casas Charter School in the Pilsen Community. “At Comcast, we are proud to improve the quality of life in the local communities where our customers and employees have lived and worked for nearly 50 years,” said John Crowley, senior vice president of Comcast in Illinois, NW Indiana and SW Michigan.

On Comcast Cares Day, Comcast employees, families and friends worked alongside UNO families, staff and friends to beautify the Bartolome de las Casas campus.
