Mortgage Relief Project Kicks Off ‘Money Smart Week’

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - NegociosGovernor Quinn’s Mortgage Relief Project—a key component of the new Illinois Foreclosure Prevention Network (IFPN)—will hold an event at Kennedy King College to help struggling Chicago area homeowners take advantage of programs that can help them save their homes from foreclosure. The workshop kicks off Money Smart Week in Chicago.
The free workshops will be held from 9am to 1pm, (registration closes at 12 noon) on Saturday, April 21, Kennedy King College, 6301 South Halsted Street in Chicago. The free workshops will offer helpful advice about mortgage refinancing, foreclosure prevention, legal rights, credit counseling and avoiding scam artists.
