Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Flavors from Chef Aaron Sanchez

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - Local NewsCinco de Mayo, celebrated by Latinos and non-Latinos across the country, is the perfect time for everyone to share a meal and create memories around Mexico’s culinary heritage. We all know the benefits of family time – tighter bonds, better communication and memorable traditions.

Just last month, Chef Aaron Sanchez, star of Food Network’s “Chopped” and “Heat Seekers,” teamed up with Sierra Mist Natural to launch “Comer Juntos: Una Tradicion Natural,” a program that encourages families to gather around the dinner table to share fun times over delicious Latin-inspired food and drinks. The program provides everything needed to prepare the perfect dishes for a fiesta to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the “Battle of Puebla”.

“Comer Juntos” is online now with seven step-by step videos, in both English and Spanish, of Chef Aaron showing how to make delicious recipes that would be festive for any Cinco de Mayo celebration. All the recipes can be found at www.facebook.com/sierramist.
