U.S. Senator Richard Durbin toured the United Neighborhood Organization (UNO) Veterans Campus on Friday and addressed about 20 students–who recently returned from China–about U.S. relations with the world’s most populated nation. “The Garcia students visit to China was a life changing event and it was very special to have Senator Durbin visit us to hear about those experiences,” said Juan Rangel, CEO of UNO, as he lead Illinois’ senior senator on a tour of the campus, 4248 W. 47th Street. Sen. Durbin told the gathering “traveling to China was a wonderful opportunity” for each student.
